She has been making waves in the film industry with her evocative compositions and diverse musical sensibilities. With a deep-rooted passion for music, she has carved her own niche, blending contemporary Sufi, folk, and pop influences while also excelling in mainstream Bollywood compositions.

Rimi’s musical journey began with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, where her talent shone brightly, earning her a place among the Top 10 finalists of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Vishwayudh, a milestone that set the stage for her remarkable career. A devoted disciple of Pt. Chhannulal Mishra and trained in the esteemed Benaras Gharana, she has honed her craft with deep-rooted classical expertise. Her prodigious talent was recognized early when she was awarded the National Scholarship by CCRT at just 12 years old for Indian classical music, an exemplification to her exceptional musical foundation.
Following her passion for music direction, Rimi composed for her first feature film at the young age of 22, collaborating with some of the most renowned artists from around the world. Her debut film, Cross Connection (Punjabi), showcased her ability to bring together musical maestros like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Navraj Hans, Kamal Khan, Arif Lohar, Tochi Raina, and Manak-E. Prior to that, her first-ever project was the animation film Sons of Ram, where she recorded Sunidhi Chauhan for her composition.
