Nearly fifty luminaries, business leaders, doctors, and other professionals graced the exclusive launch of “Nayaab,” a new product portfolio for men by Namrata Mitra, held at the Spring Club, Kolkata on July 12, 2024. The invitation-only event showcased customized menswear on the catwalk, with the designer herself explaining the intricacies of each ensemble, all custom-designed and manufactured by her team of skilled artisans from Kolkata.
A veteran educationist and co-chairperson of a top technical university in Bengal attended the event and expressed admiration for this unique project. Nayaab is a new endeavor focused on men’s styling, where Mitra and her team work closely with clients to create personalized ensembles.
A well-known entrepreneur from the city highlighted the often-ignored area of men’s fashion, emphasizing its significance. “Men’s styling is often neglected, yet the clothes and styles represent the person,” he said.
The event also featured fashion walks showcasing several models, accompanied by a live musical performance. A renowned music director and film composer, who has already availed himself of Nayaab’s services, praised the quality of its fabrics.
Guests had the opportunity to browse a diverse range of other items on display, such as sarees, home décor, and various accessories. All these items are handmade by tailors who benefit from this socially responsible and environmentally conscious enterprise.

Nayaab’s mission statement was evident at its launch.
