Transformational Journeys: The Life and Teachings of Saraswati Raman

by | Jul 24, 2024 | Education

A certified Yoga Teacher practicing meditation for over 40 years, Saraswati Raman, after retiring from a 34-year banking career, is now a full-time Author and Conscious You Coach living in Thane, near Mumbai.

She has extensively studied and researched spiritual texts, focusing on their scientific exploration and application in daily life.

She says, “Over the years, I have realized that the secret to manifesting your destiny lies in your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions. In other words, what you think determines your realities. Thoughts, which are energy, go out into the universe and attract matching vibrations. So, if you can change your thoughts, you can change your life and the world around you, and the best way to do that is through meditation.”

Saraswati conducts online and in-person meditation sessions where participants are guided into a state of thoughtless awareness, emerging fresh, energetic, and clear about their tasks ahead.

Following the initial session, participants may enroll in a 3-day program consisting of 90-minute sessions on successive days. In these sessions, they are guided through practices that activate and energize the chakras, or energy centers in the body, through their own awakened awareness, experiencing a release of energy blockages wherever encountered.

As a Transformational Coach, she engages one-on-one with individuals over a longer duration, typically nine months, enabling them to gain insight into their life’s purpose and create a roadmap to achieve it. This is accomplished by providing an enabling space that fosters spontaneous transformation. The individual experiences a shift in vision, which propels them to take steps towards manifesting their vision. The sessions honor each person’s freedom to make their own decisions, assisting them in leading dignified lives and achieving their goals, both materialistic and in terms of life values.

Among her books, “Sahaja Yoga: Heal and Integrate Your Subtle Energy System” explains various tools and techniques of Sahaja Yoga, a method of self-realization originated by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. In this three-part book, she shares her own experiences of self-healing through Sahaja Yoga meditation and other methods after being medicated for 16 years for schizophrenia. Her handling of emotional and mental challenges is inspiring and encouraging for anyone undergoing trauma or other mental illnesses, including stress and depression, which have become common modern-day ailments.

The second part discusses music as a therapeutic tool, which she learned under the late Dr. Arun Apte. She explains how combinations of various notes can activate and energize the chakras, leading to healing of even psychosomatic diseases.

The third part delves into the Divine’s incarnations on Earth to aid human evolution. She skillfully discusses each avatar, interspersed with quotes from Shri Mataji about these incarnations.

Her passion for learning led her to gain knowledge from influential Western women about the latest thoughts on how women can lead from the front through courses on Feminine Power, Awakening Meditations, and evolutionary relationships to life. She also integrates fitness practices from both the West and East, including yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and meditative practices.

Recently, she spoke about her discoveries on using sound vibrations to correct energetic deficiencies and enhance emotional states such as love, peace, calmness, and enlightenment. This, she says, can help us sync with Cosmic consciousness, making us receptive to communications from the Cosmos and intuitively understand the workings of the Universe.

She revealed the relationship between the attenuation or amplitude of emotional measurements and sound frequencies, explaining that energy centers cannot be worked upon in isolation but are influenced by breathing, mind consciousness, matter, and thought intentions. This makes us receivers of Cosmic energy and enables us to be co-creators with the Universe.

She delivered these insights during her TEDx talk at Lakhota Lake, Jamnagar, India, on July 21, 2024.

Her other major works include the translation of Srimad Mudgal Puran, stories about the incarnations of Lord Ganesha, available as narrations on the YouTube channel “Puranas and its Secrets.” Another masterpiece is her commentary on Ganesh Gita, available on Spotify with new episodes narrated by Saraswati Raman herself being released weekly. All her books are available on Amazon.
