The Science of Enlightened Peace- as told in Ganesh GitaSaraswati Raman

This is a commentary on Ganesh Gita with 11 chapters, and 413 Slokas which illuminates the consciousness of that Supreme Truth which Brahmanaspati, Ganesha instructed to King Varenya. The original text is in Sanskrit by Shri Ganesh Yogindra Maharaj.
The Bhagawad Gita as we know is a dialogue between Arjuna and Lord Krishna explaining Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Jnyana Yoga in 18 chapters and 700 verses. In comparison the Ganesh Gita is a dialogue between Lord Ganesha, the embodiment of wisdom himself and King Varenya, who was a comparatively accomplished Seeker living in times relatively peaceful and conducive to spiritual evolution. The message dwelt upon the deep states of Samadhi culminating in attaining the experience of being in the state of the Divine and Purna Yoga Shanti.
Yoga is an independent Science contained in the famous Yogamruta Shastra that leads to actualization of Brahma, following a sequential practice of Samadhi Sadhana to be accomplished for the five tutelary gods namely, Vishnu, Shiva, Surya, Shakti and Gunesh, in their worship as Brahma, their unification followed by the experience of their Abheda form.
Atma Bhagavat describes Ganesh gita as a dialogue between Angira and Shiva as Yogabodhini Gita narrated in the ancient times by Shri Gunesha Prabhu to Mahavishnu who imparted it to Brahmadeva, which later was published on the Earthly plane. Ganesh Gita instructed by Gajanan incarnate Shri Ganaraja Prabhu to King Varenya enlightens one in every way and is considered to be the most excellent of all.
At the beginning of Creation, the Supreme Being created Rajas, Sattwa and Tamas and assigned them to Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar for doing the work of Creation, Sustenance and Annihilation.
Later, during Dwapara Yuga Vishnu incarnated as Vyasa imparted this knowledge to Suta who gave it to Shounaka and other Rishis.
The instructions to Purna Yoga Philosophy only appear in Bruhadaranyaka Upanishad and Patanjali’s Yoga Shastra where we get corroborative evidence of Purna Shanti Yoga and its Yoga Siddhi which is beyond Sanyog and Ayoga. One can have an experience of the Mahavakya “Tat Twam Asi” only after the actualization of Svasvanand which is considered extremely difficult by most books on Vedanta.
The actualization of Svananda is the silent knowing of Sanyog in Samprajnyat Samadhi Yoga. That is not all. It is only after Asamprajnyat Samadhi and attainment of Shanti Samadhi Yoga that one attains Purna Yoga Shanti which is expressed as, “Balyam cha Pandityam cha Nishidhaya Muni”. Thereafter, “Mounam cha Amounam cha Nirvidhyath Brahmana” remains to be accomplished.
For this purpose, the power centers of Svananda namely, Asat, Sat, Sama and Sahaja are described step by step, represented by Shakta, Soura, Vaishnav and Shaiva Yoga to be attained, sequentially through processes of Karma Yoga, Jnyana Yoga, Sama Yoga and Sahaja Yoga.
Finally Gaanesh Yoga or Purna Yoga is explained through a of instructions on the Primordial principles including Prakriti and Purusha.
Shri Ganaraja Prabhu convinces his student King Varenya through his Vishwarupa Darshan after equipping him with the Eye of Wisdom how devotion to Ganesha makes the sadhana easier for the Sadhak to give up his Asuric and Rakshasic tendencies retaining only Godly Prakriti which facilitates attaining Siddhis in Yoga.
The Yoga Sadhak should prefer Sattwa Gunas over Rajasic and Tamasic natures to achieve Yoga Siddhis. Otherwise, he may fall from yoga and face difficulties.
The present commentary is written lucidly for English reading seekers who have picked it up only due to the Grace of the Divine.
