by | Sep 17, 2024 | Politics

Atishi, a key leader in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), is set to replace Arvind Kejriwal as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Kejriwal, after a long tenure, will step down following his meeting with Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena today. Atishi’s appointment marks a significant moment in Delhi politics, with the leader already known for her major contributions to the city’s education and policy reforms.

As a prominent face within AAP, Atishi has worked closely with Kejriwal’s administration, particularly in the education sector, where she introduced and improved several initiatives that transformed Delhi’s public school system. Her elevation to the Chief Minister’s post reflects AAP’s focus on governance and development.

This transition is expected to bring continuity while injecting new energy into Delhi’s leadership, as Atishi has long been viewed as a trusted member of the AAP leadership circle, with a firm commitment to progressive policies.
