On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Meghha Mehta, proudly joins forces to raise awareness and combat the widespread issue of gender-based violence. She has extended her support to those dedicated to this cause, recognizing the remarkable individuals who are tirelessly working to safeguard women, promote gender equality, and eliminate violence globally. Managed by UN Women, the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, under the UNiTE initiative, highlights the alarming rise in violence against women, with this year’s theme: “Every 10 Minutes, a woman is killed. #NoExcuse. UNiTE to End Violence Against Women.”
Nurturing Change Through Parenting
She says “On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, let’s reflect on how the seeds of change are sown at home. As an ICF-certified Child/Adolescent Development and Parenting Coach and author of four widely-read parenting ebooks, I advocate for raising children with emotional intelligence (EQ) and challenging ingrained gender biases. By teaching boys to empathize and girls to embrace their worth beyond stereotypes, we can create a generation that values equality and compassion. Together, we’re shaping a future where respect replaces violence, and kindness prevails. Parenting isn’t just about nurturing—it’s about building a better world.”
