Subhobroto Mazumder is a professional geologist and an explorer currently working in the upstream oil sector. He received his degree in Applied Geology from IIT Roorkee and went on to NIT Durgapur to obtain his PhD in Earth and Environmental Studies. In addition to his love of creative writing, Subhobroto enjoys playing football, trying his hands-on harmonica, wandering about aimlessly and sleeping—though not always in that order. Subhobroto was born and brought up in Durgapur and presently resides in Mumbai.
