Dr. Dinesh Sabnis was born and raised in Mumbai, India to middle class family. From an early age, he demonstrated a strong passion for education and a commitment to societal betterment. He pursued his higher education with zeal, obtaining a Doctorate in Physical Education and Education Administration. Additionally, he earned a Master’s degrees in Physical Education and also in International Relations & Diplomacy, equipping himself with the knowledge and skills to excel in both academic and diplomatic arenas.

Career Achievements

Dr. Sabnis’s career is marked by significant contributions in education, sports, and diplomacy. He has held various key positions such as the Director of Sports Activities and PYP-PE Leader at Ecole Mondiale World School, Centre Manager at In-Sports Club in Dubai, and Physical Education Teacher at Oberoi International School. His roles have allowed him to influence sports and physical education at both national and international levels.

In the diplomatic arena, Dr. Sabnis has served as an Additional Representative at the UN Geneva Office for the World Fund for Development & Planning (WFDP) and Chief of Staff in the Ministry of Sports for the African Diaspora (SOAD). He is also the Secretary General of the UN Peacekeepers Veterans Association AISP SPIA and Commander in Chief & Ambassador for Lazarus Union​.

Contributions to United Nations and International Projects

Dr. Sabnis has been actively involved in numerous UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) projects, focusing on Good Health & Wellbeing (SDG-3), Quality Education (SDG-4), Peace and Security (SDG-16), and Partnerships for Strong Goals (SDG-17). His dedication to these causes has earned him appointments at United Nations Offices in Geneva and Vienna through various organizations such as WFDP and the Diplomatic Society​.

He is a recipient of the Rajya Puraskar from the Government of Maharashtra, the Peace Commemorative Medal, the Atal National Award, and the Global Teacher Award.
